ICRO Strongly Condemns Terrorist Attack in Pakistan’s Parachinar
Takfiri terrorists on Thursday gunned down eight teachers at a rural high school belonging to the Shia community in Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.
The incident occurred in the Parachinar area of the Kurram tribal district, which is located less than one kilometer away from Pakistan's border with Afghanistan.
Witnesses said that two gunmen had entered the school as teachers were monitoring an exam.
“Teachers were arranging and compiling the papers when the gunmen entered the school,” said Amir Nawaz, a senior government official in the area.
According to Pakistan's Samaa TV satellite news channel, the victims belonged to the local Toori Bangash tribe.
ICRO in a statement said not only Shias, but also all Muslims and noble people in the world mourn the martyred teachers who had no concern but raising a committed and expert generation.
It said the Zionist and Americans are behind such crimes against the Shia community in Pakistan.
ICRO called on the Islamabad government to identify and bring to justice the perpetrators of the heinous crime and take necessary measures to prevent such attacks from happening again.
